Our Opportunity Reserve Fund

Established in 2025 in honor of longtime Executive Director Sue Greenberg’s retirement and seeded by gifts received in memory of former Associate Director Ken Konchel (1959-2025), our Opportunity Reserve Fund will provide a flexible internal source of capital. The Board-restricted Fund will allow us to advance our mission by taking advantage of unforeseen opportunities, investing in strategic initiatives, encouraging experimentation and risk-taking, and innovating to meet changing creative community and volunteer needs.
Funds may be used for initiatives that fall outside our normal budget, such as:
- Partnering with other nonprofits, professional associations, businesses, or government agencies to leverage resources, support arts advocacy, and expand our reach
- Enhancing volunteer engagement
- Reimagining existing programs and services
- Investigating, planning, or piloting new programs
- Testing new digital marketing and fundraising strategies
- Leveraging our expertise to generate earned income
- Investing in technology to improve program delivery, streamline operations, and increase organizational capacity
We hope the launch of this Fund will attract new donors and encourage even greater generosity from those who already support our work.
The Opportunity Reserve Fund has an initial goal of $10,000.
